Improved health and nutrition for premature and low-birth-weight newborns, as human milk is essential for their healthy development. Reduced infant mortality, especially among premature babies, as breast milk is the best source of nutrition and protection, which is why we must continue to invest in the Human Milk Bank. Continued support for mothers facing breastfeeding difficulties, guidance, and encouragement to breastfeed. Contribution to preventing infections in babies, due to the protective properties of breast milk. The Barretos Health Region serves a total population of 412,878 people. This region is comprised of 13 municipalities, with a male population of 203,997 and a female population of 208,881, according to the São Paulo State Department of Health. The region is divided into two areas: North and South Barretos, with populations of 271,543 and 141,335, respectively.
