The project aims to improve working conditions and increase the income of members of the benefited Association, with the acquisition of equipment for use in the entity, namely: - Hydraulic Press PH3; -3hp Waste Shredder with electric motor, tires and separation sieve; -Recycling mat 6m ETC-6060. // With the implementation of the project, the members of the Association will have healthier working conditions and gains in scale, significantly improving their monthly income. The production capacity of bales of recyclable materials using the new Press will increase from the current 200 kg to 400 kg per bale, which reduces the time in making them and adds R$ 0.35 for each kg pressed in the new equipment; Considering that the Association collects close to 40,000 kg/month of waste, there will be an increase of R$ 14,000 = USD 2,886 in financial collection, and, considering the Minimum Wage in Brazil of R$ 1,320 = USD 272, it is equivalent to an increase in your income of 53% of the Minimum Wage. The use of the Waste Crusher, especially glass, adds value to the product, as the crushed glass has greater commercial value and takes up less storage space, and the use of the Conveyor Belt generates greater ease and agility in separating the collected materials. // The approval and implementation of this project will be even more relevant for ACOMAR and its members, as the use of new equipment will help to keep the Entity collecting and correctly disposing of recyclable materials, which until recently were not separated, being dumped in landfills along with the organic material. It should be noted that many people gave up working at the Entity, due to the unhealthy service, sometimes without the use of PPE, and due to the fact that they receive less than the minimum wage at the end of the month. // Execution of the project will have a positive impact on Rotary's image in society, given that the preservation of the Environment is a recurrent and extremely important theme for the global community, and of great popular appeal. Before the existence of the beneficiary entity of this project, garbage was disposed of incorrectly, deposited in an improper place and generally polluting the environment. This direct action by Rotary to ease the difficulty of the activities is a guarantee of continuity of this indispensable work, and as highlighted above, the benefits will generate greater income for the members of the Association, which becomes an incentive for them to continue to carry out the end activity.

The project will directly benefit 20 families, out of a universe of 200 people who are part of them, who depend on the resources obtained from the sale of solid materials for their subsistence. The collection of recyclable materials generates a benefit to the entire population of the municipality, which is raising awareness of the importance of recycling, which cleans up the environment, also benefiting the world community, as recycled products transformed into new products can be present in any part of the globe.
