Changing beds, mattresses, cribs, wardrobes and mattress covers in the female and male wards and nurseries and access to a TV and hospital beds for children and adolescents who underwent bone marrow transplantation and need to remain in isolation for up to 15 days in suitable and safe beds. It also includes beds and mattresses for family members accompanying patients. These are items that have been in use for approximately 30 years and need to be replaced by new equipment that will also ensure the necessary hygiene and protection, promoting quality in the care of children and adolescents with cancer, bone marrow donors and their families. The permanence of these families with their children can last for approximately 120 days to 1 year, depending on the evolution of the treatment, evolving to cure and/or death, as there is a period in which they need to stay to wait for the bone marrow to take hold. During this period, children, adolescents and their families must remain in the city of Curitiba so that there is medical follow-up, these families do not have enough income to maintain themselves and meet the basic needs necessary in this period, as they are family members in a situation of social vulnerability, being therefore, Institutional reception in a transit home is necessary, since these families come from all states of Brazil.

Around 1,200 people are welcomed annually, including patients undergoing cancer treatment, donors and family members from all over Brazil.
