The project aims to provide new equipment for the hospital to meet the demand for surgical procedures, since the existing equipment is depreciated due to wear and tear/continuous use. Furthermore, the current equipment of this institution is old and needs to be modernized in order to provide more qualified care to the population. Currently, the institution has a shortage of resuscitation equipment (emergency cart equipped with monitor and cardioverter). With the growth of new areas of the hospital, it is necessary to acquire the aforementioned equipment in order to properly serve each sector that needs it. Currently, it is necessary to move this equipment from one sector to another, running the risk of leaving the patient unassisted due to the lack of equipment. Furthermore, the furniture used in the surgical rooms is scrapped, and it has already been pointed out for improvement, since it does not comply with the current RDCs. Likewise, it is necessary to purchase a heated crib equipped with Neonatal CPAP, since this Institution performs medium complexity care, and does not have any heated cribs with Neonatal CPAP, as recommended by the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics. This equipment will be used for pulmonary resuscitation of newborns, in addition to monitoring vital signs. In the same sense, they request the acquisition of 02 multiparameter monitors to monitor patients in the surgical observation room, providing more effective care in the Surgical Center. Currently, more than 93.66% of the services provided are to users of the Unified Health System - SUS, and are contracted with the Health Department of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The hospital is a reference for care in the Microregion, and is made up of the following municipalities:

The hospital serves patients of all ages according to the demand for care. In 2023, the following were performed: 2,883 hospitalizations; 576 surgeries; 146 normal births; 260 cesarean sections. In addition to hospitalizations in the medical, pediatric, surgical, obstetric and psychiatric clinics (adult and pediatric); 24-hour outpatient and emergency care, traumatology/orthopedics service, otorhinolaryngology, digital radiology imaging service, mammography and ultrasound, conventional and digital electrocardiography, physiotherapy and psychology, hemodialysis and hemotherapy.
