Just as Rotary International provides services to eradicate polio worldwide by combating polio, unfortunately there are still many children with neurological disabilities who need to be treated. To this end, APAE de Nossa Senhora de Socorro (@apae.socorro) is a social organization whose mission is to provide habilitation and rehabilitation services to people with cognitive and motor disabilities in the community of the municipality of Nossa Senhora do Socorro and other municipalities in the state of Sergipe. Its objective is to provide an improvement in the quality of life and inclusion of these people with disabilities, contributing to a more just and supportive society. Based on the experience we had at APAE in the Municipality of Aracaju, through the Global Grant Project number GG1980134, the use of the Pedia Suit® equipment donated by the Rotary Club of Aracaju Nova Geração serves around 150 people, including children, adults and seniors with neurological disabilities. Our project aims to acquire two Pedia Suit® devices, to be installed at the headquarters of APAE in Nossa Senhora de Socorro, to meet the demand of the State of Sergipe.

The expectation is that, after the project is completed, the institutions will serve more than 300 people, considering a waiting list of approximately 600 people, including children, adults and elderly people with neurological disabilities.
