With a focus on Economic and Community Development, the ROTARY Club of Treze Tílias will make a community kitchen available to the community. All volunteer associations in the community will use it to prepare food and sell it at their events, raising funds for their humanitarian work. Some associations in our city are: traditional Austrian, German and Italian folk groups, musical bands and choirs, volunteer firefighters, APAE, municipal, state and language schools. The community kitchen will be used to provide cooking and/or gastronomy training for people who need to earn an income for their families. The training needed to prepare these people will be organized and paid for by the city's Social Welfare Department, ASSETT and CDL and provided by educational institutions, Sebrae, Senai, Senac and Senar, which have methodologies and HR qualified and suitable for such training. In addition to this use, the Community Kitchen will also be used for private events such as weddings, company and family gatherings. Our community has, at its core, typical gastronomy and culture as a distinguishing feature. To exploit it, we need to have minimum safety and hygiene conditions, but the possibilities are limited to private companies, hotels and restaurants in the city. We have an enterprising and young population, but there is currently no space or structure in the community that allows food to be prepared for sale. Therefore, our proposal is to make this community school kitchen available in order to form strong institutions and a prepared and enterprising workforce to generate income and autonomous and collective dynamism in our city. The kitchen will be set up inside the new community center, a modern hall that meets all the regulatory standards of the fire department, health surveillance and BPMA. This center is owned by the Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro Parish – Treze Tílias.

The kitchen will be equipped and furnished appropriately, and its budget was based on the needs of the community, and it can serve up to 1,200 people simultaneously. US$33,011.18 will be spent over the appropriate timeline. During the construction and operation of the first 3 years, coordination will be carried out jointly by the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Treze Tílias and the Board of Directors of the Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro Parish. The sustainability of the project is guaranteed, since the users of the kitchen will allocate part of the profits from the events and pay a usage fee.
