The Dr. José Athanázio Hospital Foundation is growing steadily. We have 90 beds, including the opening of a ten-bed ICU in 2022. We also perform most of the elective surgeries in the midwestern region of Santa Catarina. The growing demand in the region is driving the Foundation to add numerous specialties to increasingly better serve the region's population. Given the scarcity of resources, with over 55% of expenses covered by the City Hall, the municipality of Campos Novos, Santa Catarina, needs to seek partnerships. According to the latest census (2022), our population is 36,932. The Foundation, located in the municipality, serves an average of 3,700 patients per month in the emergency room, 650 patients in the elective surgery and orthopedic outpatient clinic, and 450 inpatients. It performs an average of 248 surgeries per month, 200 of which are elective SUS surgeries. These surgeries span various specialties, including emergency, obstetric, gynecological, orthopedic, orthopedic, general surgery, and otorhinolaryngology, performed both on an emergency and elective basis. The Hospital is a reference in elective SUS surgeries, where in the last four months of 2022, 48% of the medium-complexity elective surgeries in the midwestern region of Santa Catarina were performed, reaching more than 1,600 surgeries in 2022. Our maternity ward currently has 16 beds, where more than 60 deliveries are performed monthly, with an obstetrician on call 24 hours a day. In 2023, we saw a significant increase in demand for care at the Hospital Foundation, as well as the expansion of services. More than 62,640 patients were treated, more than 3,550 surgeries were performed, and more than 600 births were delivered. The hospital also has 15 (ten) clinical backup beds for the Midwest region. The Dr. José Athanázio Hospital Foundation currently serves more than 10 municipalities, totaling over 100,000 inhabitants. With the ICU's opening, patients are only transferred to other hospitals in cases requiring highly complex referrals, such as neurology and cardiology. Thus, our number of surgeries and traumatology procedures has grown significantly, from 60 surgeries per year to over 300 in 2023. Therefore, we need to invest in this surgical arch equipment.

We currently perform over 300 orthopedic trauma surgeries annually, covering patients of all ages. Covering a micro-region in the Midwest with over 100,000 residents, we can seek assistance at the Hospital Foundation. We have a medical team of four qualified orthopedic professionals. We currently support the municipalities of Vargem, Abdom Batista, Celso Ramos, Monte Carlo, Erval Velho, Zortea, Brunópolis, Ibiam, and Tangará. Thus, the ARCO CIRURGICO (Surgical Arch) will bring numerous advantages to orthopedic surgery care for the entire population.
